Healthy From The Inside Out
This summer, The Green Cat Juice Bar & Market wants to make you healthy from the inside out. As many of The Green Cat’s customers know, its mission is to put healthy ingredients into their products. So, this summer, it is taking strides to further its mission to keep you healthy from the inside out by making skin protection a priority. Its storefront is located in the heart of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, where beach-goers flock to for the warm summer months, so it feels it is vital to help inform and protect the community from the hazardous consequences that the sun’s UV rays can have.
According to the Melanoma Research Alliance, melanoma is the most deadly form of cancer and is the most prominent cancer diagnosis in women ages 25-29 years old. Every hour, one person dies from melanoma. These statistics are alarming to the founders of The Green Cat, and they aim to raise awareness of melanoma as part of their mission this summer.
Stay healthy from the inside out this summer by being aware and protecting your body. It is easy to protect your skin this year by making a few small changes to your lifestyle during the summer. Wearing protective clothing, a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses can all reduce your risk of melanoma dramatically. According to the Melanoma Research Foundation, “It takes only one blistering sunburn, especially at a young age, to more than double a person's chance of developing melanoma later in life.”
